DESCRIPTION:The Delta School District invites families and staff to attend a livestream presentation on internet safety by social media educator Jesse Miller on Wednesday\, September 30 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. \nAs school systems around the world scrambled in the spring of 2020\, screen time proved it can be a useful tool for teaching and learning. With a new school year beginning\, we want to pause and consider the role that technology plays in our lives as parents\, children\, teachers and learners. \nThis presentation will engage in current thinking about youth\, technology and social media\, while sharing ideas and supports to help your family consider balanced technology use in the home. \nYou can watch the online presentation here: www.deltalearns.ca/internetsafety \nNo registration or login is required. Attendees have the opportunity to send in questions and topics for discussion ahead of time. \nIf you are not available to watch the livestream\, the presentation will be recorded and made available online afterwards. \nAbout the presenter: \nFor the better part of a decade\, Jesse Miller has been a preferred choice of social media education in Western Canada.
